Christmas, a season to be jolly, to spend some time with your family and friends make new memories and recall old memories as the year comes to an end. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the Montessori, Primary & Secondary wing of St. Joseph’s High School-CBSE Panvel reverberated with the melody of Christmas carols on December 21, 2019 as the little ones organised a Christmas special assembly. The celebration began with a special assembly with Lord ’s Prayer followed by the holy words from the Bible, and special prayer. The major attraction of the assembly was the enactment of the Christmas story by the tiny tots through tableau. The significance of the festival was explained to the students through the Tableau. A play was enacted explaining the importance of the festival which was followed by the rendition of a Christmas Song. The beautiful assembly became energized when Santa arrived armed with chocolates for one and all. Ecstatic children shook their legs on the tune of ‘jingle bells’ with Santa. To include the spirit of sharing and giving the students donated useful things to the needy children. The boundless joy of sharing was visible on the faces of children. To spread the message of Love, Harmony, Peace and Brotherhood, the school organised various activities and competitions such as Christmas tree making, Santa cap decoration, Star decoration, MistleToe making, Reindeer race , carol singing for the students of Montessori, Primary & Secondary section. These activities taught our little ones the joy of celebrating all the festivals with loved ones.
