An Educational trip to the post office was organized for the students of Grade IV on 4th Feb 2020 to enhance their learning experience on the topic ‘Government Services’. The visit to the post office gave students a better understanding of the role and responsibilities of the postmaster and postman. The postal assistant Mr. Kishan Sharma took the students around to see how letters are collected, segregated, stamped and then stored in the pigeon holes for the postman to collect. Sir showed different letters like inland, post land envelope, speed post letters and different stamps. Sir gave information about pin code and treasure locker also. Students were very excited to see the treasure locker in the post office. School also gave the opportunity to interested students to write letters to their loved ones and post it in the post box. The Head of the post office Mrs. Sandhya Mohan distributed chocolates to the students. It was altogether a great learning experience especially in the time of email & whatsapp. It was delightful to see the excitement among students.
