To motivate and inspire the budding chess players, Ryan International School, Dugri organised the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter-School Chess Tournament 2018 in the school premises with great zeal and fervour. Thirteen member schools of LSSC participated in the tournament. The tournament was presided over by Mr. Ram Prakash (International Rated Chess Player) and Mr. Surinder Marwaha (International Rated Chess Player). The tournament was held for the students of age groups under-8, under-10, under-12 and under-14 with each team comprising of two members.
It was a neck to neck competition where participating teams gave their best to compete for the top slots. The winners were awarded with merit certificates and medals. The Chief Guest along with the Headmistress of the school, Ms. Shilpi Gurtu honoured the students with certificates and medals and motivated them to continue their spirit to win. She encouraged them to further work hard and bring laurels for their institutions.
