Ryan International School, Dugri participated in the Swachhata HI Sewa Campaign as part of their mission to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India. Ms. Shilpi Gurtu, Headmistress of Ryan, Dugri believed that the involvement of children in a noble campaign like this can bring about unscaled positive change and teach them lessons of humility, responsibility and social awareness.
Ryanites worked towards a Swachh Bharat by focusing on curbing the plastic waste. Setting up the right example, they made cloth bags from old pillow covers and distributed them to the common public and vendors and urged them to 'Say No to Single use Plastic'. They sought to create awareness about the hazards of using plastic products and wanted to do everything they can to make the Government’s ban on single-use plastic products successful.
