Investiture Ceremony

Leadership is defined as the process in which an individual influences a group of individuals to attain a common goal. To inculcate the Spirit and Values of Democracy among the Xavierites, St. Xavier’s High School, Vapi held an investiture Ceremony of the newly elected School Council 2019 in the School Auditorium. By the mission of preparing future Global Leaders as envisioned by the Founder Chairman Sir Dr. A.F. Pinto and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto, who strive relentlessly to equip the Xavierites with the Leadership qualities. The Investiture Ceremony took place on 22nd June 2019 with great Pomp and Dignity. The school band extended a grand welcome to the Guests Mr. Kamaljeet Kamal who is Deputy Commissioner in Indian Central Board of Indirect Taxes and customs was awarded for his outstanding work in GST, along with other dignitaries Dr. Tanmay Gandhi (Urologist), Mr. Bakul Desai (Advocate), Dr. Hirna Raje (Physiotherapist), Mrs. Honey Shah (Past President of Daman Industrial Association) followed by Plantation ceremony in which the Guests planted Saplings in the School premises. Thereafter the formal ceremony of the School Parliament commenced with the Lord’s Prayer, Bible Reading, and Special Prayer followed by Prayer songs invoking the blessings of the Lord Almighty. The Guests and Parents were welcomed by welcome speeches in English and Hindi followed by a welcome song by the students of Grade VII-A. Former Council members felicitated the guests with Saplings, folders, and welcome cards as a gesture of warm welcome. The panorama of various performances glorified the event which included a special dance on “LEADERSHIP” by the students of Grade VIII D and a Pyramid performance by the students of Grade VI to X. The ceremony was presided by all the guests who along with the Parents & School Principal presented Badges and Scarf to the young leaders of the School Council which comprises Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Captains of four houses i.e. Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald & Topaz along with 12 Council Members of Primary Section and 10 Council Members of Montessori Section. In the Oath Taking Ceremony the newly elected Council Members along with President Ms. Muskan and Prime Minister Mst. Amanjeet took a Pledge of shouldering the responsibilities of their respective posts with grit and dedication and ensured Discipline and all-round progress of the Xavierites. The Guests congratulated the newly appointed Council Members and reminded them that they were the torch bearers of all the values that the School stands for and urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity. The students also thanked Honourable Chairman Sir and Managing Director Madam for providing them such an opportunity to inculcate the value of Leadership. The event culminated with the Vote of Thanks followed by a closing chorus presented by the students of Class VI and the National Anthem. It was an endeavor to instill the virtues of Integrity, Commitment, Fortitude, and Leadership skills among Xavierites.
