My teaching career began in the 1990's and before I joined Ryan International School in 2009, I already had a rich experience of 14 years. But, I would say with emphasis that I have never felt so motivated and empowered to teach before, as now. Teaching in the institution has proved an extremely valuable experience for me and I have grown in confidence, adaptability and knowledge, as a result. The members of the management and the Principal are highly supportive and are always inclined to equip and upgrade the teachers for this dynamic academic world. I joined the esteemed organisation 26 years back in my early twenties, since then it has been a very successful journey. The Early Childhood Teacher Education Course (ECTE)
Pursuing an Early Childhood Teacher Education (ECTE) course is the first step towards a career in working with young children. The first six years of a child's life are the most vital for his/her development. The ECTE course offered by Ryan Group gives you the prospect of understanding and learning how to bring out the best in children. The goal is to train and prepare ECTE trainees to understand and develop social, cognitive, creative development, and the physical and mental needs of a child.
RIS provides a well- balanced curriculum comprising the following:
Anyone with 10+2 level qualification or above can enrol for Early Childhood Teacher Education.
Duration of Early Childhood Teacher Education Course (ECTE) is one year.
Passing certificate or marksheet of your highest qualification.
Two recent passport size photographs.
The marksheet and certificate of Early Childhood Teacher Education course will be made available after successful completion of the course.
Candidates who complete the course successfully will be awarded a Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education.
This ECTE certification provides the trainees with an entry point into schools of State/ ICSE/ CBSE/ IGCSE/ IB board in India and abroad.
This paper will provide an overview of the field of Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on quality care & learning. Trainees will examine historical perspectives, theories of curriculum & the different approaches to preschool education.
The paper will provide an understanding of development principles from conception to six years of age. Trainees will learn to identify and promote children's development and major milestones within the area of physical, motor, social, personal, emotional, cognitive, language & moral development.
This paper will explore the various techniques of working with children. It will enable trainees to design and implement programs and curriculum to meet the development needs of children.
This paper explores holistic health and wellness principles to support children's development. Emphasis is placed on strategies to promote children's understanding of good health and nutritional habits.
The paper aims at creating awareness about the various issues faced by both normal children and children with special needs. It will enable the trainees to understand the process of bringing about positive change in the lives of children.
ECTE trainees will get an opportunity to complete one year of intensive practical training/internship at Ryan Group. This will provide them with valuable hands on experience of working with preschoolers in a live classroom. This will also enhance their knowledge of pre-school management and set-up. It improves the teaching skills of our early childhood teacher training trainees and prepares them for interviews and demos.
RIS also conducts several workshops for ECCE trainees on topics like curriculum planning, music and movement, art and craft, story telling, yoga and projects to acquaint and equip them to face the challenges in the field of pre-school teaching.
